Dhol baaje in water

Zumba fitness trainer, Venu Mandala’s ‘Aqua Garba & Dandiya Season 2’ proved to be a weekend worthy for festivities. It was a sight to behold at ‘Waters’ in Banjara Hills on Sunday. A team of young musicians comprised of Raghu at drums teamed with Amir and Sushma’s vocals, Syed at guitar, Sai at djemble and Job Samuel at keys churned out some fantastic dance numbers, such as “Dhol baaje”; “Gunji Aangna Mein Shehnai”, “Dola Dola”, “Radha Kaise Na Jale” worked as a thread of love. Upto 50 women enthusiastically danced in the swimming pool. Mandala said, “Last year was a success! And, this inspired us to go at it again this year. My aim is to give this fitness form an innovative approach without altering the principles of dandiya. “We want to give women this unique experience. Apart from garbha and dandiya, we also did many forms of fitness dances like zumba, aerobics and water yoga. This time it’s Garba and Dandiya with swords, sticks, drums and music!” said Ankit Aggarwal, CEO of Grycs Fitness Club, who was present at the event.
