After announcing the phone a month ago at IFA, Sony has launched its new flagship Android smartphone – Xperia XZ in India. The smartphone is aimed at
photography enthusiasts as it comes with 23MP rear camera, 13MP front camera and is world’s first smartphone with 5-axis video stabilization. The Xperia XZ comes with IP68 certification for dust and water resistance and has a glass/metal body. It features a 5.2-inch full HD IPS display protected by Gorilla Glass 4. Hardware specifications include Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor, 3GB RAM, 64GB storage and a 2,900mAh battery. The dual-SIM device has microSD slot for storage expansion (up to 256GB card supported), stereo speakers, USB Type-C port and fingerprint scanner. For connectivity, you get 4G with VoLTE, WiFi ac, WiFi Direct, Bluetooth 4.2, NFC and GPS. The phone runs Android 6.0. Its rear 23MP camera features Sony’s Triple sensing technology, Exmor RS sensor, phase detection and laser autofocus with f2.0 aperture and can record 4k video. On the front is a wide-angle 13MP camera with f2.0 and HDR support. Bundled in the price is a quick charger, 3 months’ subscription to Sony LIV worth Rs 349, and Modern Combat 5 game with credits worth Rs.780. Xperia XZ will be available from 10th October 2016 at best buy price of Rs 49,990 – it can be pre-booked on all Sony Centers and exclusively on Amazon.in between 1st and 10th October.
